Stirling Family Church ...building people through knowing Jesus
home / from me to you

14th November 2004

Patience, we believe, is a real gift from God and it is an atmosphere in which God can work.

Charles Lewis became the first black mayor of the tiny town of '500', nestled in the red clay hills of east Mississippi. "I waited quite a while" he was quoted as saying on his first day, "but the law takes a long time."

Martin Luther King often preaced that "the arm of the universe is long, but it bends towards justice."

When discouraged remember this promise: through patience you too can receive the embrace of that long arm.

In conclusion, we would like to encourage us all with this scripture:

"So make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life. Then your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better. Knowing God leads to self-control. Self-control leads to patient endurance, and patient endurance leads to godliness."

God bless ,
