Stirling Family Church ...building people through knowing Jesus
home / from me to you

21st November 2004

Greetings in Jesus' name.

This weekend is the last weekend I am with you. By the grace of God I have had a really great time with you. I have travelled to Sydney , Canberra , Orange , Nerrandera, Port Lincoln, Streaky Bay and Whyalla as well as some local churches. I have had lots of different experiences, met different people and also learnt to speak English (the hardest language in the world - especially the way Australians speak it!).

I want to thank Pr Hans for looking after me in Australia as a Father in the Faith, and to all the families who have hosted me. I'm also thankful to everyone at the church and especially the Missions Team for such a great time and being my 'family' here. I am leaving Adelaide on the 25 th November (this Thursday) at 6:20 a.m. to travel to PNG where I will stay for awhile. Please continue to pray for me. I am very sad to leave you all but it's God's will for me. Even when I'm gone I will remember you and pray for you.

Acts 16:16-34 ~ The Story of Paul and Silas in the Prison

Paul and Silas endured a lot of difficulties and persecution - in the story they had their clothes torn from them, they were beaten and thrown in prison. But despite the bad situation they found themselves in they chose to pray and to worship God. After they worshipped the foundation of the prison was shaken and the doors were opened and their bonds were unfastened. When you read on you discover that the prison guard became the servant of Paul and Silas by taking them to his home, washing their wounds and feeding them. The situation Paul and Silas found themselves in was dramatically changed after they spent time in prayer and worship.

I encourage you to read this scripture and apply it to your own life. Don't worry about your situation whatever it is ~ family needs, finances etc. but focus on God through prayer and worship. You can shake the foundations through prayer and worship and be set free in your situation!

God bless you all.
