Have you ever had a scripture verse jump right off the page into your heart?

As a young Christian I had a real problem with procrastination, many times missing a unique opportunity because of uncertainty whether or not I was doing the right thing.

Then one day the verses from James 1:5 came flooding into my heart:

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of t the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."

I felt like those verses had been written just for me! I would pray and ask the Lord for wisdom, and still question over and over, "Is this the right thing to do?" often ending up in doubt and frustration.

When we ask God for wisdom, we need to ask in real faith that He will give it to us, and give it generously.

Wisdom, coupled with power!
